I can never promise when any type of slot will become available. However, permanent slots usually become available in June after exams, but it's looking likely it'll be a year June at this point. Individual lessons is something I can't promise either, however I'll always keep available lessons on TutorBird for you to book in when they are available on a first come first served basis. If you would like a permanent slot I would suggest potentially registering two years in advance. Access to book in on TutorBird is provided after our introduction meeting which we will book in when possible.

If you are interested, with regards to holidays, inset days, study leave periods or any form of days off from school, as there’s no school during these times, you’re more than welcome to book almost any lessons during the days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, any time on or before 1:00pm if you would like to! I’m more than happy to offer these as one off slots! That is another option that I can provide for you. All bookings are made through the TutorBird portal, however if you would like a lesson where one wouldn't normally be available on TutorBird, let me know and I will see if I can get that all sorted for you!

Exam grades can never be guaranteed. I always encourage a good work ethic and confer the importance of independent work and revision, but ultimately exam grades are mostly dependant on student input. Tuition can be extremely beneficial if used in the right way.

All lessons are at least an hour, and the vast majority are exactly one hour. I can always have longer lessons depending on availability, and prices will scale dependant on length of lesson.

I offer weekly and fortnightly lessons. I also regularly offer empty slots when available to clients who have registered to be on my waiting list, to try and get in as many lessons as possible while waiting for a regular slot. You can book in for available lessons on the TutorBird portal once you have had an introduction meeting.

I usually always continue lessons throughout all holidays except for the following: One week around March 9th (my birthday), two weeks at the end of the summer holidays, and two weeks over Christmas. Otherwise lessons are usually always on!

I like to be as flexible as I can with lessons, however there is a late cancellation fee for lessons cancelled within 24 hours, This applies to myself also if I ever cancel within 24 hours. If a lesson is cancelled by the client and student within 24 hours, the full lesson fee will still be due. If I have to cancel a lesson within 24 hours, I will offer the next lesson free of charge. Wavier of the cancellation fee is at my sole discretion mainly in the event of an emergency. Cancellations are only accepted through the TutorBird portal.

Yes, I have an enhanced DBS certificate (a criminal record check), which is completely clear, and I am also signed up to the DBS update service. I usually also regularly renew my enhanced DBS certificate every three years.

Yes, I have both professional indemnity and general liability insurances more information on which can be found here. I also always have my insurance details displayed in my tutoring room if you would like to view them.

Yes, I will only discuss anything with regards to tuition with yourselves, or anyone that you have given me permission to talk to. I am also registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) and comply with all GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements so your data is safe. Not really at the moment, currently I only go up to GCSE including additional maths. It's something I am slowly but surely starting to get in to, but do not offer regular slots for as of yet.

The main exam board I tutor is WJEC but I have had lessons with regard to Edexcel and AQA as well! Usually during the introduction meeting if we discuss anything with regards to differing exam boards or needs, I can then look up everything we need to and get all the correct resources together ready for your lessons! So definitely feel free to let me know if you have any specific requests and I can look into it for you!
